# Financial Data Types

There are several types of data which represent different metrics:

* Stocks - Measure the value (or percieved value) of a specific company / business
* Futures - Measure the future price of a physical asset e.g. gold / oil / copper / coffee etc.
* Forex - Measure the exchange rates between two currencies.
* ETF's (Exchange Traded Fund) - a pooled investment fund similar to a mutual fund.
